Dear Friends and Colleagues in the Faith;
Proverb 29:2 When the righteous rule, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.
How can we determine if a leader is righteous and worthy of our support? First is to look at their relationship with God through Jesus Christ; have they received and believed in the Lord Jesus Christ? Second, do they have a track record of decisions and a lifestyle that supports what they believe? It’s easy to proclaim your own righteousness when you are on television or being interviewed by a newspaper journalist, but how does righteousness reflect in their daily lives; in how they act, interact and react with people and in the decisions they make? What do their track record says? As we pray for the Haiti elections, pray that the people be vigilant in seeking out a righteous leader.
