PRAY FOR HAITI - 40 DAYS OF PRAYER - DAY 31

Dear Friends and Colleagues in the Faith;

This Sunday Beraca's Pray for Haiti will be aired live all across Haiti on Radio Lumiere. @ 7pm.

PRAY FOR HAITI - 40 DAYS OF PRAYER - DAY 31
2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Though your sins have separated you from god, Isaiah 59 :2 but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear. However, when you turn from your wicked ways, God is ready and willing to forgive you. It’s amazing how God is always ready and willing to forgive us no matter how wicked or evil our sins may have been. I have a tenant who spent 52 years in prison, the Louisiana State Penitentiary (also known as Angola State Pen) the bloodiest prison in the United States’ history. He was sent there for killing a pastor for $1.23. As a 22 year old man he was sentenced to life in prison without parole. His name is Eugene Tanniehill. He is known as the Bishop of Angola. We call Bishop. He has an amazing testimony. Not only that he was a murderer, he was also a rapist, a thief and a drug abuser. Back in those days before the law was changed, some of the prisoners were also the prison guards. They were given weapons to watch over the other prisoner. One lonely night as an inmate guard, in a moment of desperation he took his shotgun and put it under his chin and was about to take his life. All of the sudden he remembered the last words of the pastor that he killed “Lord into thy hands I commit my spirit” Bishop began to weep bitterly. As he was about to pull the trigger, he cried out to God in repentance and said “Lord I’m sorry for what I did and if you are real show me yourself, save me” Then all of the sudden a peace like he had never felt before came over him. At that moment he knew God was real and that God had forgiven Him. What happened to Bishop afterwards was so amazing, miraculous and glorious that he was one of the main characters in a documentary that was nominated for an Oscar. We will continue Bishop’s story tomorrow. The bottom line is when we repent, and turn away from our wicked ways God hears us and forgives. There is absolutely no sin that a believer can commit that God will not forgive them for. God has a ready and attentive ear to hear his children; especially when it’s cries of repentance. He is ready to recklessly abandon himself for us as in the story of the prodigal son and come to our rescue. Tonight as we pray for the Haitian churches in Haiti and abroad, ask the Lord to hear the repentant cries of His people. Pray that there will be a revival of repentance throughout the land.

With U4 Him
