PRAY FOR HAITI - 40 DAYS OF PRAYER - DAY 27

Dear Friends and Colleagues in the Faith
PRAY FOR HAITI - 40 DAYS OF PRAYER - DAY 27

2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

This verse will be a three to four part series of simple commentaries to help our prayer partners intensify their prayer for the Haitian churches and their leaders. My hope is that the Lord will begin a REVIVAL OF REPENTANCE in the Haitian Churches across Haiti and abroad first and foremost.
I believe that the transformation of Haiti falls squarely on the shoulders of the Haitian Christians in Haiti and the Diasporas (As Nehemiah was). Though the above passage was written to the Hebrews in the Old Testament, it’s a truth that transcend into our day and time. “If my people, who are called by my name” These are the people who profess to know God, they attends church on a regular basis, they sing the hymns and Christian songs, they mention his name in their conversations. This include pastors, teachers, deacon, elders and regular church workers; they also include children, youths and young adults growing up in these churches . Since we claim to be God’s people, God is addressing us, and the first thing he is asking His people to do is; “humble themselves” This indicates that there’s problem with pride. Let’s face it. This is an issue many Haitians in the family of God struggle with. It seems to have become part of our DNA whether they are Pastors or a simple member who thinks highly of themselves for who they are or what they possess. Pride is a deep dark and deceptive sin. Pride is so deceptive, that it can even make you proud of being humble. It’s the original sin that got Satan cast out of heaven. The bottom line is; God hates pride. Though there are many social-economic issues that may be a factor in the Haitian Christian embracing pride however; the church, the people of God must not allow pride become a barrier that hinders God from healing the land of Haiti. As we pray tonight let us address the issue of pride that is destroying all churches and especially our Haitian Churches. Let us cry out to the Lord on behalf of the Haitian church leaders.
With U4 Him
