Dear Friends and Colleagues in the Faith,
PRAY FOR HAITI: 40 DAYS OF PRAYER DAY 9
Scripture 1 Chronicles 29:11
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.
In this upcoming election in Haiti many positions will be filled by men and women seeking to lead others. When authority and the responsibility to rule over others are given to an individual, their greatest challenge is to remain humble and not develop a God complex. The way to do that is to acknowledge that their position and authority was given to them by God who is the creator and ruler of all things; “for everything in heaven and earth is yours”. Tonight as we pray for Haiti, let us ask the Lord for someone like King David who acknowledged God’s greatness, power, glory and majesty; His rule over Haiti and all of the earth.
