PRAY FOR HAITI 40 DAYS OF PRAYER DAY 22

PRAY FOR HAITI 40 DAYS OF PRAYER DAY22
Scripture: Nehemiah 1:3-4
3 They said to me, “Those who survived the exile and are back in the province are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire.” 4 When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven.

Nehemiah received news about the condition of his country and his countrymen. The news broke his heart and sent him close to, if not into a deep depression. Now at this particular time the Jews have been in exile for many years (probably 70) but this did not stop Nehemiah from caring deeply about his country’s condition and the condition of his countrymen. When he heard about the suffering of his people; the great trouble and disgrace they were facing, he wept and for many days he mourned. We who Haitians living outside of Haiti should take note. Is our hearts still broken for Haiti and the great trouble and disgrace they are currently facing? Or have we gotten used to it and become numb to the fact that there is real suffering going on right now in Haiti. Tonight as we pray ask the lord to break our hearts for Haiti. Ask Him to make us sensitive to the ongoing suffering of the Haitian people because if our hearts are not broken, we will not be able to weep and mourn for Haiti. Pray passionately for Haiti.
